How would you like to have a job that includes walking in the woods, catching bugs, pressing wildflowers, and photographing fawns? Or what about a job that takes you to the rainforests of Central America and to coral reefs in the Caribbean? These are just a few of the things that Toni Albert enjoys in her work as a nature writer, a teacher and environmentalist, and a small publisher who is committed to “teaching kids to care for the Earth.
When Albert founded Trickle Creek Books in 1994, she had already written more than thirty books for top educational publishers, and her books were used in schools across the country. She began to publish her own work because she wanted to create special books that would help children learn to love and respect our Earth.
Who does all the work at Trickle Creek Books? Two people—Bob and Toni Albert. They work together like a right hand and a left hand. Toni plans projects; Bob builds them. Toni takes notes; Bob takes photos. Toni writes books; Bob does the prepress work.
Toni takes book orders; Bob packs and ships them. Well, you see how it works.
Bob and Toni Albert live on twenty acres of wooded land near Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The woods around their home, the tiny creek (Trickle Creek) that runs through the woods, and a large pond are a perfect laboratory for gathering information and inspiration from nature.

Lebanon Valley is a private, liberal arts college. Its mission arises directly from its historical traditions and a relationship with the United Methodist Church.
The College’s aim is to enable our students to become people of broad vision, capable of making informed decisions, and prepared for a life of service to others. To that end, we seek to provide an education that helps students acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to live and work in a changing, diverse, and fragile world.
Through both curricular and co-curricular activities, we endeavor to acquaint our students with humanity’s most significant ideas and accomplishments, to develop their abilities to think logically and communicate clearly, to give them practice in precise analysis and effective performance, and to enhance their sensitivity to and appreciation of differences among human beings.
Lebanon Valley College aspires to pursue this mission within a community in which caring and concern for others is a core value. We value strong and nurturing faculty interacting closely with students; encourage individual student development; and affirm the interrelatedness of liberal learning and the ideal of vocation. We regard the cultivation of wisdom that is the capacity of judging rightly in matters of life and conduct, and a lifelong love of learning as the ultimate reward of the educational experience.

Dyslexia is a brain abnormality that makes reading difficult, and people with the condition may be labeled “lazy” or “slow” when they are actually highly intelligent and eager to learn.
The problem is that their brains are making the words move or look jumbled on the page, therefore inhibiting any chances of reading comprehension. While there is no cure for dyslexia, there are numerous treatment options, including ChromaGen lenses, which can be used at school and at home to help the eyes and brain make sense of all those letters on the page.
While researchers are still working on a cure for dyslexia, the following treatments can help manage symptoms.
